| ARRIVING BY ROAD TO BALLADE DES PINS |
| From the North - there is a non-toll motorway (A75)
from Clermont Ferrand to Lodève though if you use the Millau viaduct you
will be charged around five euros. |
| Leave the A75 Motorway at Junction 52 and at the two
roundabouts which follow, take the exits signposted Lodève. Now follow
the road for about two kilometres: you drive under the motorway and
alongside the river during this time. |
| As you approach Lodève you will pass a Judo club sign
on your right and then a big ‘Point P’ shop. Here you take the road into
Lodève centre, turning right over the bridge (Pont de Celles). Follow
this road round to the left for a short distance (Ave de la République)
and take the first road right, signposted ‘Versailles Perimelet‘. |
| You are now on the Avenue de l’Escandorgue. Once again,
take the first road off to your right, this is very soon, just before
the pedestrian crossing. You are now on Vieux Chemin de Poujols and
Ballade des Pins is on the left after you go around the corner and pass
a sign saying ’Nebleza.’ Ignore the no-entry sign on Vieux Chemin de
Poujols - it only applies to non-residents. |
| From the South - follow directions to Millau and
Clermont Ferrand on the A75 motorway. Leave the A75 Motorway at Junction
53, following the sign which reads ‘Lunas, Lodève.’ At the first
roundabout go straight on, following the sign which says ‘Lodève Centre’
going past ‘Super U’ the supermarket on your right. |
| At the next roundabout take the second main exit,
heading into Lodève. After about one kilometre, ignore the road off to
your left signposted ‘Centre Ville’ and carry straight on, driving past
a petrol station. Turn left at a big ‘Point P’ and ’Netto’ sign, over
the bridge (Pont de Celles), heading back into Lodève. |
| Follow this road round to the left for a short distance
(Ave de la République) and take the first road right, signposted
’Versailles Perimelet.’ |

| You are now on the Avenue
de l’Escandorgue. Once again, take the first road off to your right,

MELODIE |
| From the North or South -
take exit 52 off the A75 motorway and at the one roundabout (arriving
from the South), or two (arriving from the North) that follow, take the
exit(s) marked Soubès. |
| Once you pass the village
sign (about two miles from the motorway) the road bends to the right,
then goes straight and over a bridge. |
| You want to take the first
left, straight after you have gone over that bridge (it is signposted
Soubès). Follow this road up and round going past a road off on your
left. Carry on straight up. |
| There is a road off to
your right. You go straight on and now you are on La Coural. La Melodie
is about half way up the street on the right, just after the water
trough. |
